One of two group pieces done specifically with the intent of drawing all the remaining Johto generation Pokémon I had yet to draw. This lot of six all fit well into a forest setting, and the arrangement of them just kind of fell into place. While I was working though, it occurred to me that having Ariados sneaking up on Smeargle was a bit morbid, so I thought rather than prowling for food, I could make the spider out to punish a cheeky painter (note the footprint). Wasn't originally picturing the forest in the autumn, either, but being that time of year as I drew and being when I originally played my Silver Version, it felt right.
