Tamaro chose mostly devensive manuevers, letting Krael's Dratini use up its strength a bit, as well as to see what sort of attacks Dragon Pokémon use and how effective they are in different situations. Tamaro actually surprised both Krael and himself, doing quite well in the double Dratini battle. But as predicted, Tamaro's fell while Krael's was still plenty lively.

     "Dratini, return. You did great," he assured it as he replaced its ball and pulled out another. "Go Natu! Go straight in for a Drill Peck!" he shouted. Tamaro did not possess telekinetic powers and so knew that Natu's Psychic attributes would never be tops. Instead he focused on its Flying traits, and it was quite fearsome despite its tiny body. Tamaro's instant attack command and Natu's speed caught Krael off guard. The Drill Peck nailed Dratini dead on. Dratini was thrown back a good twenty feet, but got up instantly. Tamaro was actually relieved. He had seen a Dratini against a Dratini, now he would see a Dratini against a totally different Pokémon.

     "Okay, finish it off!" Tamaro said after a little while longer, "Psychic attack." The Dratini collapsed on the ground. Next out from Krael was his Horsea. Horsea had been the final one in battle at the end of Krael's last round with the 20 year old. It wasn't in tip-top shape, but Tamaro knew already not to underestimate it. It wasn't long before an Ice Beam brought Natu down out of the sky. Tamaro hoped that Krael's final Pokémon was another Dragon type, so that he could get even more experience battling them. In which case, Tamaro wanted to send out something powerful that would wipe out the Horsea and make the final Pokémon equally ready for each other.

     "Go Ampharos," he said blankly. There was no need to get excited. His Ampharos would take care of the Horsea with a little Thunder Shock, and indeed it did. Now it was Ampharos VS whichever Krael's last Pokémon was. Tamaro was ready for anything.

     "Are you prepared to battle my pride and joy Tamaro?" Krael asked smugly.
     "Looks like we both saved our best for last in that case. Bring it on Krael," Tamaro answered.
     "You're a pretty good opponent, I hate to have to do this to you. But I don't have any other Pokémon to choose from. Go Vibrava!" he shouted triumphantly, as if he had already won the match. Tamaro looked on with a puzzled look. He had never seen or heard of a Vibrava before, but it looked like a Bug/Flying type to him. Still, he never took anything for granted.

     "Okay Ampharos, give it a Thunder Bolt!" Tamaro commanded.
     "Vibrava, hold still," was Krael's simple response. The Thunder Bolt hit beautifully and with great power, but had absolutely no effect against Vibrava.
     "A Ground type?!" Tamaro said in disbelief.
     "That's right, so you might as well return your Ampharos, it's hopeless. Like I said though, you can use up to 6 if you like."
     "I don't battle like that, this is a 4 on 4! Ampharos Headbutt now!" he shouted.

     Vibrava went to move but Ampharos hit it anyway.
     "Good job, now don't let it get in the air or nothing you've got will be able to reach it! Iron Tail!" Tamaro ordered. Ampharos smacked it hard with the attack. Vibrava went flying, but spread its wings on Krael's command and was now airborne.
     "Vibrava, use Dragon Breath." he ordered with a grin.
     "Ampharos, Protect!" Tamaro countered. The Dragon Breath surrounded Ampharos but it remained safe until it wore off.
     "Give it another Headbutt!" Tamaro shouted as Vibrava flew a little lower for another attack. The Headbutt hit Vibrava in the air, but at the same moment it unleashed a second Dragon Breath upon Ampharos.

     Ampharos stood shaking, unable to move due to paralysis. Tamaro watched sadly as Vibrava landed in front of it and finished off Ampharos with a final attack.
     "Vibrava, give 'em a taste of your Earthquake" Krael said, and it was over. Ampharos fell to the ground, as did many of the people watching off to the sides.

     Tamaro rushed to Ampharos's side and returned it to its Pokéball. "Thanks for a great match!" he said to Krael as he went running to the Pokémon Center to heal his Pokémon and check on Vulpix.
