This game wasn't exactly what I was expecting, but I ended up really getting into it. The whole style and mood is really a departure from the GameBoy games, and having 2-on-2 battles as the standard is a really different and enjoyable way to play. There were certain aspects that gave me Johto impressions, so I decided to go for a completely Johto Pokémon team. With only so many shadow Pokémon to catch, it was fun to pick some Pokémon I wouldn't normally raise and play through with them.
