When the 6th generation of Pokémon came along, I was so disappointed in the designs and aghast at the new gameplay mechanics that I decided I was done playing new Pokémon games. I have not regretted that choice as I watch each new generation make its debut. But just for fun, I thought it would be amusing to select a hypothetical team of six for each generation, so here they are. Note that in some cases, finding even six designs that I liked required resorting to new forms of old Pokémon.
